Nice low lighting for kids who are scared of the outside world. Tho better ventilation would be nice. There needs to me more and Better adjustable chairs for those long hours sitting down.

cool to look at when walking through the main area.
the lecture rooms are old but have enough room to write notes
the tim hortons takes a long time to get orders done even when the line isnt that big
the food cafeteria area was renovated but has the style of the rest of the rest of the building, making it feel old.
the library is in need for a renovation. it always smells, may be because it is in the basement with poor ventilation. the seats are most likely older than you. never any free seats in group study due to one person taking up a whole table.
quiet study is old as well but is enforced to be quiet which is good when you need a place to really concentrate.

overall not too bad but needs improvement

I am going to finish my Master’s studies in Meng program and I want to thank the librarians for their hard work to keep it an absolute destination for my studies. It has been my all time place for all the assignments and projects.

Don’t hesitate to enjoy the vibe here. In case you don’t have a proper study room at home.

Cheers !!

Why is there a constant whining noise in the quiet study cubicle area? It has a high pitch and randomly occurs, sometime for hours. It is very annoying and distracting. The fact that faculty haven't addressed or fixed it is concerning.

This library is always packed, really hard to find a place to study. The basement is suitable for group study whereas the upper floor is mainly for silent or quiet study. There is a food court nearby along with a Tim Hortons. The wifi here is terrible, really slow especially in the classrooms. I got 0.3 MBPS during a lecture which is terrible.

Downtown China. Fully packed all the time and the study spaces are extremely outdated. The chairs, washrooms and desks downstairs are so outdated and vulgar it's actually embarrassing on the schools part. Many students study at Waterloo, they should invest some money into making this library a suitable space for out-of-class learning.
