Been living in Exeter for 5 weeks, visited this shop 5 weeks in a row, and every time I come to the shop it’s always closed with the same sign. Opening hours are misleading and need to be updated.

This place is THE BEST. We are currently locked down and I needed to send a 'care package' of gifts to Melbourne for my daughter's birthday next week. I called Anna and she immediately understood my dilemma, nothing is open, Australia Post are backed up and I have a 23 year-old in lockdown in Melbourne who needs some Mama-love and care to open on her birthday. So I ordered from the lovely array of artisan giftware online, Anna wrapped it all up beautifully in gorgeous gift-wrap, and organised freight for me. I can't wait to be out of lock-down so I can visit in person. Amazing service! From one Mother to another thank you Anna xx

I had a horrible and upsetting experience with the shop assistant here. I tested a lipstick, that was an open tester, on my hand first and then put some on my lips. In hindsight I shouldn’t have used the tester on my lips but in my defence there were no sterile buds to use as an in-between medium to avoid skin contact. My thinking was the risk was mostly with me using the tester because all skin contact has a germ exposure risk! The last person who tested the lipstick may have just wiped their nose with their hand and then tested on that skin patch or maybe someone walked by and sneezed on it. I was the one taking the risk. Plus why have testers if you’re no allowed to test them?
Anyway, the woman yelled very loudly at me Did you just put that on your lips? to which I truthfully replied yes. She then let loose on me with a barrage of degrading insults about how she couldn’t believe anyone would do this then shoved a box of tissues at me demanding I wiped the tester. I complied and then went to hand her the tissue back for her to put in the bin. Unbelievably she told me to throw the tissue on the floor because she refused to touch it like I was some diseased animal. I just said I’d take it with me and walked out quietly, embarrassed, shamed and in shock while she continued to spray me with insult after insult…all the way to the door. She just could not stop herself! And yes there were other customers in the shop who would’ve watched this unfold all very publicly.
I would never recommend this store and unfortunately this will be a lasting memory of my visit to Moss Vale.

The most brilliant shop in our sweet town, with stunning and unique pieces coming in all through the year....I have never failed to find a brilliant gift and it is my dream 'go to' store for any friend/family I am present buying for. Anna & Ursula are brilliant at what they do, our whole family has been so warmly welcomed and guided by them for perfect gifts as they secretly note what we have all fallen in love with every time we visit.
