Today is the 10th June and I have increased the stars to 4 out of 5 as the efficiency, politeness etc. has continued upward, which I greatly appreciate. Hopefully I won't have to comment on anything negative again. Thanks again.

Today is 3rd June and I am posting an update. I am pleased to say that during the last couple of visits, things have improved here. There were green bags in plain sight (with the actual item that is on special) that are required to be used for items on special, otherwise the staff at checkouts automatically charge the regular price. Also all of the staff I encountered were polite and cheerful. This is great. Please keep on doing same. Thank you.
I am really getting tired of buying items from the fruit and veg here and being charged a higher price, (which happens too regularly for my liking) at the checkout, without so much as an apology from the person at the first counter, when I go to request a refund. Today again, this has happened and it is about time that the MANAGER there had a talk to their staff about this. I have found the younger staff to be overall the best and most courteous, while the more mature are the worst. I realize that the reason for an error, may be a computer error and that the person giving me a refund had nothing to do with the larger price, HOWEVER THAT IS NO EXCUSE for not having the manners to acknowledge the error by a “’sorry about that”. When leaving I thanked the senior lady her for her efforts, however after leaving I thought, that she should have said, as I mentioned before “sorry about that” or something similar, instead of just giving me the refund with no smile, no nothing!
The amounts in question vary from small to not so small and for me the money is not the issue; it is the principal that concerns me. I was a senior manager in my working life and in my books, if staff are not prepared to be polite to customers, then they should leave and let another person who is prepared to do so, take their place.
Since I posted the above no one from the store has contacted me so either no one has read my previous review, or no one is interested in my concerns.
Today I have again been charged a different price for two separate items. When I politely mentioned this again at the checkout when I returned to point this out, I was told that because I did not put the discounted items into green bags( which are for discounted items on special) I would be charged the full price as staff are geared to only add discounts to specials this way. Fair enough I thought, all good, so I acknowledged my error and thanked the staff member for the refund for the difference in prices and left. Then on my way out, I recalled not seeing any green bags for at least one of the items on sale for the discounted price, which I was overcharged for. So to satisfy my curiosity, I went back and sure enough one of the items did not have any green bags in that full row of items, there were only clear ones. I took a photo of it on my iPhone and went home as I had spent way much time than I needed to, to do my shopping today.
Some may think, why bother checking and in reality there was little difference in the prices. However just think about it….on how many occasions does this happen to how many others.? And for how much?

The variety of fruits here is quite decent, but the staff is extremely unfriendly. He will deliberately push you from behind while you're waiting at the cashier without any warning. A kind reminder for those planning to bring children: be cautious of being shoved by unfriendly people.
