We loved our lunch here. The food was delicious, the outdoor setting was relaxed, expansive and cute. Eating at the farm was special.
We shared a salmon share platter which was ample for two and with a salmon salad did the 3 older members of our party.
We then wandered the farm, feeding the fish was a highlight. (Extra cost) But worth it.
And a walk around the lakes was very nice. We saw a wallably.

We got the 41 South Platter and it was plenty for 2 people. We’d never had salmon rillettes before but it was super tasty! Also really loved the one island sauce and I’m still thinking about the ginseng spice mix 🤤

Have come back a few times now, staff were super friendly and very helpful when it came to their Salmon and how to pair and taste it.

We purchased the $5 tasting paddle which came with a couple of their Salts, Salmon and Sauce.

Their Hot Smoked Salmon is to die for! I come back each year for a little trip to treat myself.

You can also walk their farm and feed the Salmon at a couple designated spots- As well as view Montana Falls!

Thankyou to everything at 41° South!

I'm a solo traveller without a license, so I walked from the Deloraine Empire Hotel to the cafe 22 km (2 ways). I love the scenery throughout the walk. The cafe is awesome! After a long walk, I get to saviour cured salmon with 3 different dips and cheese platter with long black coffee. I was very content when I was enjoying the moment. The cafe reared the salmon, and they also have a ginseng farm. There is a garden and trail walk next to the cafe. The cafe is open every day and closes at 4 pm. After my meal, I walked a bit around the garden. I also had strawberry sorbet and bought a bottle of ginseng honey. That was the highlight of my stay in Deloraine.

Nice experience. A little run down but nice food. You pay a few dollars for a walk around the property and can feed the Salmon in the small lakes and visit the breeding tanks. There is also a short walk to a weir which was quite nice. Has public toilets and car parking.

Amazing smoked salmon! Very moist and tasty!
A lovely place to have lunch, nice surroundings; they offer a variety of platters. The self guided tour around the farm was lovely, great experience feeding the salmon and eels ourselves. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Richard and his mum are so kind, friendly & knowledgeable!! We visited for the first time a few weeks ago and had to go back a week later for more. The salmon rillette is so tasty and a great price. The kids platter is great and easily serves 2 small kids.
The kids love feeding the salmon, walking to the waterfall and patting Maple, the resident dog.
Highly recommend checking the place out!
