Living in East Gippsland it’s not as easy as in the city to get appointments with GP’s most of them are that busy they don’t accept new patients, at Cunningham Arm they take new patients and was luckily enough to get an appointment same day they are mixed bulk billing.
Nice receptionist and doctor/ nurses very clean clinic and comfortable chairs in waiting rooms.

Feb 2025. Zero stars actually.

FACTS:
First told there were no appointments at all available for 2 weeks. Told to ring back in 2 weeks, on a Monday, at 8.30am, for an appointment with a particular doctor. Rang at 8.35. Waited with music for 32 mins, no phone pick up. Called again. No phone pick up in 25 mins. Rang the next door business who walked next door to get me a call back.

Got a call back after 15 mins. No apology, just "we're very busy". Then told "no appointments for that particular doctor for another 2 weeks" despite being told my first-thing-Monday call would get me in for Tues or Wed. Grrrr. So, I booked a day 2 weeks hence. Emailed a complaint to management about loooong telephone waits and lousy appointment vacancies.

Was rung 1 day before the set appointment and it got cancelled. No available times for yet another week. Booked an appointment one week hence. Sent 2nd complaint email to management.

One day before the due appointment, it got cancelled and I got BANNED from ever going there again for my complaints ... some 5 weeks after my first call.

A business of massive medical arogance and customer non-care. I'm 70 yo.

Hannah and Alira at reception are great. Be warned tho, if you need scripts done for Webster pack you seem to hit a brick wall. It seems that Some of the receptionist will not forward script requests FROM THE PHARMACY to the doctors to fill. Then Faddy at the chemist has to constantly call me to follow up with the doctor. I ring the receptionist to follow up (as I had been asked to do) and then I get attitude because I am getting frustrated that no one is listening to me. Any suggestions? Stress is a trigger for me and this is becoming a very regular thing. If anyone has any suggestions, the pharmacy and I would really appreciate it.

The practice itself is very professional and caring. The Hot Doc system is frustrating beyond belief! Multiple opportunities to use it to pay for phone consultations has resulted in cancelled appointments and extreme frustration. Even though my Hot Doc profile has my credit card details stored permanently, the app still keeps demanding I pay for appointments it tells me I don't have. Get rid of it. It is absolutely useless.

A huge shoutout to Hannah on Reception. As an out of towner she went out of her way to assist me with a medical appointment. Thank you Hannah for being so lovely and efficient. There should be more people like you on reception desks.

Thanks goes to all the staff at Cunninghame Arm Medical Centre that I have had the pleasure to meet since moving to Nicholson about 12 months ago. It starts from first contact with caring, very competent receptionists both answering the phones and in person, gentle, knowledgeable nurses and caring doctors. I don't think I have seen the same doctor twice but it doesn't matter, all that I have met have been very professional and reassuring. What a great formula, in my experience this example of excellence starts at the top. Keep up the fantastic care/service. Thank you again.

Never have I ever had the experience of such a wonderful medical centre. The receptionists are so friendly and caring. Dr Mariam Herz is an incredibly kind and understanding doctor who makes an effort to build rapport with you and support you. This the first time in my adult life that I've met such a wonderful doctor. I highly recommend Cunninghame Arm Medical Centre.

They got my son in quickly when I needed it and when I couldn’t even get him in at the clinic we’re usually patients at. Couldn’t thank them enough. Booking was easy, as was setting up as a new patient and the dr was so lovely and gentle with my baby boy.
