Fantastic library, open and airy with plenty of desks and spaces to enjoy a read or computer time. Friendly knowledgeable staff with wide range of materials for learning and enjoyment.

Edit: This is a belated rewrite, one I was planning even before the response! Though it is good to know the extra cold was not just me, and that the problem is fixed. As for noisy people, I'm glad the staff are aware and are considering the issue.

Outside of that though, this really is a great library! I like to come here and read or draw when my days are empty, and I notice lot going on.

There are tutoring sessions and community help groups, and of course book clubs, as well as clearly some children's groups (though that may have been a school holidays special!), and I think it's all fantastic.

In particular regarding the children, they've all been well-behaved and seem to appreciate the library, which is something I love to see! There's also lot's of comfy spots to set up and do what you need to do.

While I was previously a little frustrated by noisy/inconsiderate people who play their phone videos out loud etc., the library itself is a great place to be and provides a wonderful service for the community.

Update: the vibe at the library is still great, but the late opening time of 10am can be really frustrating some days.

With plenty of workspaces, power outlets and free wi-fi, this can be a great option for remote working - but lately the vibe in the library is all about COVID-policing customers. The public bathroom is currently closed with a nasty portable toilet outside. As others have mentioned some days the noise in the library can be over the top so bring headphones.

Located beside the Art Gallery with excellent free parking a good toilets. Lots of surrounding cafes. Good selection of books (paper and audio), computers and the encouragement to have meetings and craft groups. Staff are helpful and accomodating.

Council has done a great job with the reno. Space is lovely, very conducive to producing great work. Staff are super helpful. The selection of books is better than most libraries (congrats to curator).
