We visited today as my husband was curious to see the super car track, but that is not what I'll remember of Balthurst. I will remember the begonias! Wow, they were SPECTACULAR! Incredible colours, variety and just exquite flowers. Thank you so much to the helpful woman who served us and suggested we visit the historic centre (lovely) and the begonias. Wow!!! Congratulations to all those involved. Much to be proud about.

I find visitor centres are the quickest way to get to the essence of a place. Questions are asked and answered, local arts and crafts are on display and you get a good idea of how the town or area sees themselves in context to the rest of the country. This visitor's centre is very large and has a wide selection of crafts and souvenirs available. And the staff are always great and very knowledgeable. Just a great experience when entering a new place.
