Clive and his team undertook a large scale and highly complex landscaping transformation of our hillside property. From design through execution, Clive always addressed our concerns and happily worked with us to make alterations and improvements. The dry stacked stone walls and steps are the stand out, but also the lower timber retaining walls turned into such a surprise as it was a bit of an after thought for us and Clive did such a great job of designing on the fly. Particular shout out to his lead craftsman Jarrod, who was here rain, hail or shine making sure everything was done right and to the highest standard (I actually miss having him around). 6 months on, it is a joy to watch the plantings grow and transform the exceptional landscaping work.

We needed a small retaining wall replaced before winter, and reached out to Clive and the team at Abben Art. Several local landscapers had turned down the job citing that it was too small to bother with. We were so relieved when Clive promptly came back to us with an itemised quote for the work. After accepting, Clive didn’t hesitate to complete a visit, formalise the quote and the work was soon underway.

Albeit a small job, it was in desperate need of repair. Clive and the team were professional, and looked after us despite our busy schedules, working in with us to complete the job hassle free. They even removed a stubborn tree stump and stabilised some nearby paving that had lost some soil volume. Needless to say, the area looks fantastic, and we are really grateful for the service of Clive and the team at Abben Art. We have some future plans for more work, and we will not hesitate to contact Abben Art again when ready to move forwards. Thanks team for your professional, no hassle service. Legends!

We had been searching for a Garden Designer on the Mornington Peninsula on and off for a few years and couldn't find anyone that met our brief and more importantly, we were confident in. I came across Abben Art Garden Design and initially met with Clive for a consultation.

We wanted a modern garden that we didn't have to mow and hardy plants, as we aren't gardeners. Clive was really clear and could see our vision which was great. Clive then came up with a concept design which was visual. I loved this approach because I could visually see what the garden was going to look like. Clive then completed the final design based on our wants.

The process was easy and Clive explained everything clearly. We ended up with a garden that really suits our home. Clive used stones and paving that added to the garden and he identified other things like drainage and a fully automated watering system that we hadn't considered but needed.

We now have a low maintenance garden that looks beautiful! We are so happy with Clive's work. I thoroughly recommend Abben Art Garden Design.

The team came out to start preparing my garden bed for further work. I stood and listened to Clive give instructions and all appeared well. We were aiming for a naturalistic look. Pruning several trees was done expertly by Clive's wife- he had mentioned she would be doing it all. I felt reassured when I heard Clive tell the crew that my prized feature tree would have 'a few branches removed from the bottom'. I was shocked when I discovered Clive had maimed my tree- a few branches indeed. I lost it when I saw my 25 year old tree so severely trimmed- all by Clive himself. The crew trundled off, leaving my irrigation system in pieces, my feature tree ruined, stumps left in the ground and that afternoon refused to come back as my blue language was too offensive! I offered to negotiate a settlement for the damage caused by Clive but no response. You judge- before and after pictures. AVOID THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO STAND THERE AND OBSERVE. NO CUSTOMER FOCUS.
