As a Ballarat local, I enthusiastically chose Ascet Digital to support a local business for my ecommerce website, despite many online options. The experience was deeply disappointing. I repeatedly requested in-person meetings to discuss layout, calls to action, marketing funnels, and SEO optimization, but these were ignored. It’s unclear if these features were beyond their scope or required extra costs—I was open to paying more, but no discussions occurred. Communication was slow and frustrating. Though happy to provide copy, my limited IT skills made inputting content and integrating Stripe into WordPress/WooCommerce time-consuming, tasks Ascet Digital should have handled. The website’s appearance was terrible, with an unappealing, non-functional layout unlikely to attract or convert customers. Despite significant effort, the site remained substandard, with no attempt by Ascet Digital to rectify issues. The only positive was a prompt, full refund, which I accepted. Both parties lost time and effort. The CEO promised to follow up after Easter but never responded, even after a reminder, reflecting the company’s unprofessional culture. I strongly advise against using Ascet Digital due to their poor communication, unfulfilled promises, and substandard work.
