I just searched for half an hour for my google login details so that I could write this review: I am so very impressed by this shop!
I want to minimise my impact on the environment, and the amount of exploitation I support through my (priviledged) purchases. But it is a complex situation, and I don't have the wherewithal to research every item I buy.
Walking into this shop yesterday was like a dream come true. It is packed with so many beautifully crafted, high quality goods. Being aware that I was making long term choices (I wear my clothes for as long as possible) I was slightly overwhelmed and spoilt for choice (oh my goodness everything was gorgeous!) I have to say that the customer service was absolutely impeccable. Evie was so warm and helpful. I explained what I was wanting to achieve and she helped me with so many suggestions, helped me try on many items (and gave me perfect, honest feedback)
The thing that impressed me the most - every single item she handed me, she had so much knowledge about it - the designer, the fabric, who made it and their working conditions, the dyes used and their environmental impact - I 100% trust that she has done all the leg work, and I could just relax and shop guilt-free. She also had a complex understanding of design that was impressive and interesting.
I'm usually a reluctant shopper, but I genuinely enjoyed this shop. I am so happy with my purchases, and I'm grateful for the ethical business model Aware follows. I'm so glad my friend recommended it to me - it is an absolute destination gem. I cannot recommend highly enough!
