We engaged the services of Blackbox Studios to capture footage of our recent Leaders Retreat in Port Douglas. From initial contact Marty was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating to our needs. Booking a videographer from interstate was made super easy with efficient and effective communication, Marty nailed the brief and had deliverables to us within 24 hours absolutely exceeding our expectations. We had contacted a number of other videographers in the region however were made to feel like our request was too difficult given their specialties were wedding footage and not corporate, Marty at Blackbox Studios was the complete opposite, no request was too difficult and would happily recommend him and will definitely use their services again if we are in town. Me and my now wife hired the boys at Blackbox studios to film our wedding in Port Douglas. We just wanted to have a bit of a video diary for our day to look back on, and we didn't go in with high expectations.
We met up prior to the wedding to meet each other, and get an understanding of what we wanted and needed from each other to make it work. The catch up was with Shannon and he was immediately so friendly and welcoming, and clearly knew what he was speaking about.

On the wedding day, it was both Shannon and Marty who were filming for us. They were so professional, and were incredibly helpful and complimentary to getting fantastic shots and interactions. Our friends who've seen it said it was cinematic at points which I love. Having them there honestly just felt like extra friends being at our wedding.

The film that was put together for us blew our expectations out by miles, it was such a perfect representation of our day, and because they'd attached microphones to both myself and my wife, they were able to add in very meaningful words that were spoken that aided in making a heartfelt, beautiful film that I've already watched multiple, multiple times.

Seriously, couldn't imagine not getting a videographer for our day after seeing the film.

We couldn’t have asked for better wedding videographers than Shannon & Marty from Blackbox Studios. From the moment we first contacted them to the final delivery of our wedding video, they exceeded our expectations in every way. Our wedding day was incredibly special, and Blackbox Studios captured it beautifully.

Creativity: The creativity and artistry – from utilising drone and normal cameras to undertaking a pre wedding interview for use as voice overs for the final video - were just amazing.

Quality: The video quality is top notch. The high definition footage and clear audio of the final edit is so good, its honestly like we are reliving it in the actual moment. The turnaround time for both our sneak peak and final edit were impressive and far faster than we expected.

Emotional impact: Blackbox Studios managed to capture the emotions, love and laughter of our wedding day so perfectly, that everyone who has watched it was moved to (happy) tears.

Professionalism: Blackbox Studios were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were punctual, organised and went above and beyond in every step of the process. They listened to our ideas and preferences and incorporated them seamlessly into the final product. What a great experience it was working with Blackbox Studios!!
Marty and Shannon had heaps of great ideas for the set and camera shots which made the whole process easy and quick.They are super relaxed and easy to work with and the editing was done and dusted in record time!
We are really happy and proud of the resulting video
