I was initially really impressed with the detail Karen requested for what I wanted in my website and put a lot of time and effort into filling out the forms. We discussed a time frame to have it finished by and I messaged a few times in the lead up because I had not received any updates and was concerned it hadn't been started and wanted to view what had been done so far. At times she didn't respond. I believe my concerns were correct as when it was due to be finished. I received a link to what had been completed so far and it was so far off being complete with so many discrepancies from what I had requested in the pages of documentation she had requested me to fill out.

I literally had to go through and highlight all the things that were missed and not done as per my specificatuons. This of course delayed the finish even further. In her proposal she talked about adding copyright, call to actions etc to jazz it up and none of this was done either.

In hindsight, I don't think Karen had a lot of experience in creating e-commerce websites and probably shouldn't have recommended herself for building an e-commerce website. I'm sure she's great at other service-based or basic websites. There were even times where she said she wasn't sure about how to do a number of things and had to get someone else to help with them which confirmed my suspicions.

In the end I was quite disappointed with how my website turned out. It has many glitches and issues and strange things display when it loads. It is also very slow.

I ended up spending another few thousand to get the website remade and for a small business this was a massive blow.
