I recently visited D’Niques Hair Resort and had an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The decor was beautiful and inviting, making me feel right at home.

The stylist Nicole, who worked on my hair was extremely knowledgeable and skilled in working with all hair types. She took the time to assess the current state of my hair and recommended a treatment plan to promote healthy hair growth. I could tell that she truly cared about the health of my hair and wanted to help me achieve my hair goals.

Throughout my appointment, the Nicole was attentive and made sure I was comfortable. She explained each step of the process and answered all of my questions. I left the salon feeling confident and excited about the future of my hair.

I highly recommend this hair salon to anyone looking for a welcoming environment and a stylist who specializes in healthy hair. I will definitely be returning for all of my future hair care needs.

I recently discovered this amazing salon and had an exceptional experience there with top-notch customer service. After relocating to the neighborhood, I was in dire need of a hairstyle. Following an exhaustive search on Google throughout 9 salons, I stumbled upon this gem. Upon contacting Nikki, the owner of the salon, her assistance over the phone was incredibly valuable. Just by that conversation, I was already impressed. She recommended two of her skilled stylists, one of them being Nia, who did a fantastic job on my hairstyle by suggesting a ponytail, which I absolutely adore. Nia's professionalism and talent were truly commendable. I am thrilled to have found my go-to salon right away, and the added bonus is that it's only a 5-minute drive from my home. You will not be disappointed with this salon!

I have spent over a decade as a natural hair model, participating in national campaigns for esteemed brands such as Cream of Nature and As I Am. My photos showcasing my 4c hair, inherited from my mother, have garnered viral attention and many opportunities. My mother, known for her lush and well-cared-for hair, experienced significant thinning after a visit to Nikki’s salon. Initially attributing it to personal stress, the damage became evident following a silk press treatment by Nikki, leading to severe breakage and loss at the front of her head. Despite professional confirmation linking the damage to Nikki’s techniques, she callously accused my mother of having a medical condition that caused this hair loss. Mind you, my mother DOES NOT have any medical condition praise GOD. I could not believe this gross accusation. Nikki’s refusal to acknowledge her role and her dismissal of medical expertise reveal a concerning lack of accountability and professionalism. I strongly caution against trusting your hair health to Nikki as her negligence and arrogance may jeopardize your hair's well-being. As a professional model of natural hair and care with experience with countless stylists in the industry, I can say this is the WORST representation of a salon i have ever witnessed. I would never recommend this salon or Nikki to ANY ONE. Conversely, if a George Jefferson-inspired look is your goal, this may be the right salon for you.

RESPONDING TO THE OWNER’S COMMENT- my mom has always gotten a relaxer every 6 months and has always had a healthy head of hair. It was not until you started treating her hair that I noticed her hair thinning. The reason you are coming under fire is not just because you ruined my mom’s hair, but because of your ARROGANCE. Instead of taking ownership, you passed blame to my mom even suggesting she had a medical condition. When my mom followed up with a board certified medical team, you still questioned their determination. In your mind, my mom is at fault and not you. In your mind, you are beyond reproach. Here are the facts: 1). My mom’s hair was full before she started visiting you 2). My mom’s hair started thinning while under your care 3). My mom’s hair completely fell out following the silk press treatment YOU administered 4). My mom has no medical condition as confirmed by board certified medical professionals 5). Her medical team determined that external factors resulted in her hair loss. They concluded those external factors were attributed solely to YOUR SERVICES.

It’s important you understand that i posted this review because your ego is abusive and i will not allow you to gaslight my mother by diverting blame to fabricated medical conditions and weaponize Christianity against her. I can guarantee you that God’s work was not in your silk press. While you have many good reviews, this review is a true account of our experience. You messed up. Own it.

AND TO BE CLEAR, YOU ARE NOT A BOARD-CERTIFIED DERMATOLOGIST NOR PHYSICIAN. You are NOT qualified to “diagnose” as a cosmetologist. Your humility is uninspiring and confirmation of your arrogance.

Nikki has consistently provided me with top-notch service for my short style, as well as recommendations for optimum hair maintenance between visits. Nikki has been a blessing to my hair. When I first started going to her, my hair was thin and damaged from years of relaxers. She slowly treated my hair and got it back to a healthier state. My hair has thicken and gotten longer and is much healthier because of her hair care. Nikki believes in healthy hair. She doesn't follow the latest trends. She makes sure your hair is growing and in the best shape it can be. She's an amazing stylist and I appreciate her.

Today i went to another salon place seeing if they could deep condition my hair but they weren't available so as I was driving back to my airbnb I was driving by and noticed this salon. I stopped in, in hopes that they could do my hair. Nikki greeted me as I came in the door and she was able to take me as a last minute walk in. She made me feel at home and like I was family and I truly appreciated that since I am here in Houston by faith and I only know 2 people. It was a great atmosphere and her other hair stylist was just as friendly! Thank you Nikki for your family like atmosphere and thank you for helping me with my unruly hair!
