We have recently started to use Dwell to manage our house at Culburra. We have found Barb and her team to go above and beyond to provide excellent personal management services.
We recently had a tenant who has left a poor review of Barb, and the state of our house, which should be ignored. It was said they left the house in a better state than when they arrived. However, the cleaner was at the house after their stay from 730 am- 3 pm cleaning until we arrived. They left dog poos on the lawn. They complained of things in the review that are simply not right. The house has had fantastic reviews since we’ve rented it. We were told they said it was the worst house they have stayed in. I guess that means they won’t be back. Good.
Barb is great to deal with and I do not accept the things said in the review.

To the additions made by the tenant to their review since we posted this one , I simply don’t accept what you say. The tv cabinet was not damaged. The rug was not filthy when you moved in.
We had to pay for an “ emergency clean” when you moved in. There was simply no need for that. There were a few rust marks in the cutlery drawer and salt spray on the windows. You rearranged the kitchen drawers because you didn’t think it flowed. Who does that in a holiday home?
If things were as bad as you now say, I cannot fathom that You would not have taken photos and I doubt you would have stayed here for the duration of your booking.

Would not recommend, unethical.

We were told we were the only interested buyer. We were hesitant as we had put down a holding deposit for another home, however after they accepted our offer and requested that we act quickly to pay the holding deposit, we then forfeited our deposit for the other home.

We were asked to quickly organise a pest and building inspection so we did. After paying the holding deposit and starting to arrange the inspections , we received the wrong contract. We immediately reached out to notify the real estate, and they continued to request that we act quickly. We waited for the contract to come, however it never came and we were later informed that the real estate had continued to show the property, while at the same time taking our holding deposit and requesting we organise the inspections for the house. We gave our rental 2 weeks notice, as part of our accepted offer was to move in during the settlement period. At 34 weeks pregnant, we are now unable to purchase our first home prior to the baby arriving. We would not have proceeded if we were aware that they would continue to show the property, however they assured we were the only interested buyer. Not only have we lost our deposit for the other home, we could have also avoided unnecessary conveyancing fees.
