The Friends-Coffee Shop for the youthes of Portland. Provides a third place for teenagers in an town otherwise deserted of non-druggy things to do. Would suggest they up the quality of there collection of speculative fiction collection by picking older classics like Kurt Vonnegut or what not instead of whats becoming popular online.

The staff is very kind and informative to newcomers, though they don't have a grip on noise control for those who come to read / work in peace.

There's a wide variety of books & DVD's for just about anyone, definitely worth taking a look around.

The noise level in this library is unbelievable. This is a kindergarten with lots of yelling kids. No reading is possible here. The mayor of Portland should reconsider his selection of library staff as they give a rats ass about the noise there.
