We're basically just terrified of auctions, because you don't know were it's going to go, as the few we went to were $100,000 or $200,000 above the advertised price.

Also, being short on time and having a family, meant going to auctions and searching for houses every weekend wasn't really feasible.

So buying Off the Plan was pretty much the best option for us and the stamp duty savings were pretty substantial.

Darryl showed us a menu of pre-release properties that had not yet been released or advertised to the general public and this allowed us to get first pick of the bunch.

With Darryl, we were also able to find out things that we didn't know and couldn't have found out on our own, which were all extremely helpful and cost saving.

Our new property has already achieved outstanding capital growth in the short time since our purchase, so we are now on track to being able to use the equity gain to leverage into a second property soon.
