Lovely, clean, spacious library.
Lots of areas to sit, relax and read, or work. There is also a dedicated children's area where regular activities are held.
Staff are friendly and helpful. There is also an area where cables are plugged in so people can charge their phones.
Ample toilets are kept nice and clean.

The TAFE administration is set up at the rear, and they have their own designated entrance to the side of the building.
Lots of parking around, too.

I came today to the library to show my mom the library location because she usually get off the bus nearby and she didnt know the library is there and was disappointed to find the all lights inside of the library was on when it is public holiday and the library closed. Actually the Google Map said the library is opened. Anyway my concern is the lights are on and the library was closed today. Waisting of government money and our taxes we pay.

The Mount Barker Library is such a great Library! They provide so many activities for children and classes where the children clearly have fun and are engaged. The staff are wonderful and so helpful and kind. There is a great history section where one can learn about our local history, but also research ones own family history and seek assistance with this. It also has a great atmosphere!

Just want to congratulate staff and volunteers on the fantastic services you provide to the community. It's not just about borrowing books and Toy Library toys - so much more is offered!
Yesterday my grandson excitedly visited the Library (which he knows well since a baby) with peers and Educators from Edge Early Learning Mt Barker. I was delighted to read and see photos of the excursion. Thank you Anita for reading not just stories, but also providing such great activities to follow up the story. Just love Hairy Maclary and friends and used them many years ago when teaching and for all the grandchildren. The children followed up with pancakes and fruit on the lawn outside! What a wonderful morning! My grandson who is just 3 was telling his toys about his excursion that night! Thank you all for the great work! Sorry it's so long - a much appreciated Gran. Helen Hoekman

Really enjoy the occasional visit to this Library. The staff have always been professional and very friendly, very knowledgeable when answering my questions and giving information. It is a nice Library with a nice feel. There is a Toy Library within the center, computers for use and a printing service provided for a fee. This Library is about to undergo some renovations so maybe ring ahead to make sure they are open before visiting. A great Library, well stocked with books and access to online books and magazines also. Highly recommend this service.
