Horrible. Where to begin? I found so many things wrong with this UNI. I was a mature aged student who studied for a Medical Radiations degree here in the past as a career change, however I did not obtain the degree, wasted 3.5 years of my life. The reasons were the course was outdated, the practicals were not taught properly and the UNI took too many students when I studied here so there was not enough placements. As, a result since the prejudice ITALIAN Australian coordinator and racist Anglo White Female staff saw me as a foreigner since I did not grow up here and the fact that my accent is different, I was sent to clinics with bad reviews for placements to be set up for failure. Mind you, the White Female staff in my opinion did not like me (I have Brown skin, with an Indian background, but NOT from India, NOT been there). Anyway, I guess they could not look past my race and the fact that they thought I was an International student of which I am NOT as I am an Australian Citizen. I encountered bullying and racism on those placements as well as my assessments were not done, the lecturer/coordinator would not accept my complaints and said it was a serious allegation to make, oh how they enjoy gaslighting students, I originally came from a racist country so I know what racism is. I was then failed out of the course. I could not understand the hate these White Women had for me, I DO NOT understand why many White Women hate women with an Indian background, we just live our lives? Fast forward, course RESTRUCTURED and is now 4 years with new staff. I do regret not leaving sooner because I now have a HECS debt for a degree I DID NOT obtain. As someone over 40, I am upset because I did not even live my life due to the trauma this UNI put me through, this career was supposed to allow me to make a living. The UNI thinks it is a joke to fail students. DO NOT complain nothing gets done, they the UNI takes the staff and placements part because they want to send other student to those clinical centres. I was an average student but everyone should be treated with respect. I also found some of the local White students racist.

I've done undergraduate and postgraduate studies at RMIT. It's a top Australian University and part of the fabric of Melbourne. Great memories and lifetime friendships were formed here.

Overall I had lovely experience while at RMIT eventho the school fees is so darn expensive for international students. Esp when I took English classes at REW (RMIT English Worldwide) back in early 2000s I met some great classmates there which became my friends. Not so great experience when doing the Advanced Diploma of Business Management; they had only 10 students or even less, didn’t feel belong bcos the other students had their own groups, the lecturers were just ok, thank God could pass it all. BIS was ok; met some good classmates, some great lecturers, graduated with Honors 😁 Graduation venue was awesome at Telstra Dome (now called Marvel Stadium). Back then RMIT had trips to Phillip island, Great Ocean Road, Mt Buller, etc. If u meet some good friends and try to explore Melbourne or Victoria it would def enhance ur experience as international students. If u’re lucky u’ll make friends for life. Hoping to return to do my Master Degree one day, age is just a number 😁

absolutely useless.
teachers couldn’t give less of a shit about their students and if they succeed.
a teacher didn’t sign off on a COMPLETED unit and now at the end of the year, my partner cannot officially graduate because of the complete and utter incompetence of the entire administration department as well. completely unhelpful and show no desire to rectify their mistakes or compensate my partner in any way shape or form.

now they are saying he must RE-ENROL, PAY FOR AND COMPLETE THIS UNIT AND THE END OF YEAR ASSESSMENTS AGAIN because of the pure laziness and incompetence of not only the teacher who failed to asses him, but everybody involved in the situation at RMIT aside from one coordinator who has been trying absolutely everything to find a way to allow him to graduate.

they have essentially just said come back next year and do it all again at your own expense!!

would not recommend this school to anybody unless you want a 4 year course to turn into a 6 year course and have to pay OUT OF YOUR OWN POCKET for the mistakes of people who are supposed to be helping you.

Worst contact services ever ! Graduate Research Team will take more than one month to respond an urgent enquiry even after sending multiple emails and contact via RMIT connect. Still they have not responded to my queries related to scholarships. Their website is again a mess unlike other universities where all the details regarding the scholarship rounds are clearly published. No proper information is published on RMIT website.
