My husband and I had the privilege of working with style matters for our wedding. Having a great dj was extremely important to us in creating a fun, inviting atmosphere during our big day and style matters did not disappoint! We were paired with Chris and from the moment we met him we knew he was going to bring the energy and vibe we wanted. Chris listened to everything we wanted and put together amazing music to keep our guests dancing and enjoying the night. He perfectly timed every song including our favorite moment of playing our recessional song right as we leaned in for our first kiss as newlyweds. We would greatly recommend working with them in the future and so would all our friends and family who raved about our music and energy throughout the wedding.

Style matters from the start, made this process so easy, and straight forward. Spencer made sure that “styling” us with the perfect DJ, and assuring they match our vibe and taste. We did the string theory for our ceremony, and it added such an elegant touch. The music for the reception was so perfectly curated for us and our guests, nobody left the dance floor all night. Spencer was so in touch with the crowd energy and made sure every person there was stomping their feet, or cutting rugs on the dance floor. We got so many compliments on the music, and was the highlight of our wedding day!

Style Matters is a wonderful group of DJs. We had Duke deejay our wedding and he is the absolute man! He absolutely killed it on our wedding day, but that started weeks prior when he first met us. He started by getting a sense of who we are and our vibe. Using that, his intuition, and our questionnaire, he presented an initial proposal that was spot on. He worked with our wide ranging song requests to cultivate a seamless dance floor experience; he also read the crowd really well and adjusted accordingly. From an emcee perspective, his timing was impeccable; he took our incorporation of certain movie themes and incorporated it masterfully throughout the evening. He even accommodated a song change for our grand entrance at the last minute and timed it perfectly with our walk to our sweetheart table. All in all, he exceeded any and every expectation we had. Duke is a phenomenal person and is the type of individual that you want guiding the evening and cultivating the vibes along the way.

Scott with Style Matters was the perfect DJ for our wedding. We knew he would be a great fit musically, but we were blown away with how kind and empathetic he was along the way as we planned together. He played incredible music, hit all the moments we wanted, and was continually checking in with us and congratulating us.

If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, then you know that its more than just music they provide. They set the tempo for the whole event; timing, announcements, and overall vibe - they're the MC. Style Matters, was very easy to work with, specifically Chris, who was our DJ. Chris asked so many great questions and helped us think through many details that we didn't consider. He demonstrated his experience by providing insight and opinions when asked for. We contracted Style Matters to DJ/MC our wedding reception this summer and could not have been more pleased with our selection.

The Style Matters team were well-versed professionals and super responsive and courteous to us throughout the process. They had a thorough form which we completed that allowed them to perfectly outline and prepare for the event. Despite us tweaking and adjusting the details right up until the last minute (the brother/bride dance song was not selected until a few hours before wedding day!) they cleanly adapted all the provided information into a perfect execution on our day.

Max was assigned to be our DJ and he was an absolute delight to work with. He took our provided song lists and announcement details and ran with them, seamlessly integrating them into the day while also keeping the whole event moving. Considering our event took place across three different spaces this was no small feat. He was friendly, very competent, and played an excellent mix of full length and appropriately shortened songs that kept our guests of all ages engaged on the dance floor.

We had at least a dozen guests reach out and state that they had never danced so happily for so long at a wedding prior. This is a great testament to Max's DJing prowess!

John Simmons (DJ) and Ernie (drummer) were the absolute BEST combo for our wedding! So easy to work with, professional and SO flexible with us! They truly made our wedding night the best and the dance floor was PACKED the entire time!

John had a call with us before our wedding and took notes on what we envisioned (music, announcements, introductions, timeline, etc). It made us feel at ease knowing he understood our timeline and knew exactly what vibe we wanted for our wedding.

So many of our friends and family were completely obsessed with the DJ+drummer combo. It added the perfect touch of turntable mixing with live music! Highly recommend!!
