Nice location and have everything a visitor needs to know about the town and central Australia. I liked the way the attraction brochure are set according to Katherine Alice and Uluru. I was in Alice and didn't know they were so many places I could have visited. We got some maps and feedback on questions asked by a 4 year old. He loved the place and investigated each section of the musuem with all what and why question.

31 october 2023 Halloween at this centre was awesome. The props and display loved it. The best part was the turning head lady. Took pics and dev just rang around the place and now mange to pose for pic

Nice, friendly staff. Many sculpture artifacts to view. Good rest place before moving on to Tennant Creek if you are going in the direction of Alice Springs. You can get a booklet of information on Central Australia for free, which is pretty helpful if you have no idea what else to do except visit King's Canyon and Ayers Rock.

Great place with lots of interesting information about the mining history of Tennant Creek. The staff were helpful and polite and there was useful information available. Bonus that spinifex pigeons were running around outside. So cute!

So much to see at Battery Hill. The underground mine tour was fantastic and so were the museums. Lots of history in one and an amazing rocks and minerals display.

This is the site of the old Battery Hill gold mine. There is an interesting display of old mining equipment and the site gives a beautiful view of Tennant Creek.

Very helpful and super friendly lady at the visitor centre 😃 she really cared about our questions. The whole centre is also very lovely packed with history and information materials, feels more like a museum instead of an ordinary visitor centre 🤩 you'll learn quite a lot about gold mining history ⛏️

Friendly staff. Great parking. Lots of stuff to buy. However, Tennant Creek needs a Dump Point for visitors. This would be a great place to put one.

Martijn was an exceptional host who we believe will change tourism in Tennant Creek single handedly!! We were passing through and stopped to have lunch in their carpark, a spacious area with trees, the old mine, old machinery and of course the visitor centre. He was so engaging and knowledgeable about the area making everything so interesting and exciting. We could not believe it!! Not what we expected but it just goes to show, enthusiasm and passion are contagious.
We were the only ones there and spent over an hour and a half yarning .... us apologiseing for asking so many questions and Martijn reminding us, that we were his job!! We even learnt a bit about each other's lives. We would have loved to have done his mine tour but it was closed due to some water inside it. Martijn, you are an absolute champion. You gave us so many historical insights and an experience of Tennant Creek that was so positive, fun and informative. Thank you so very much.
