We recently went on a truffle hunt, and I’m thrilled to share my experience with you. Anna and her family runs an absolutely fantastic truffle hunt experience, and it’s a must-visit if you’re in the area.
We had the pleasure of joining Anna’s truffle hunt with her adorable labradors, Douglas, and her two adorable pups, Poppy and Peggy. It was such a heartwarming moment, and the dogs were so friendly and playful.
The truffle hunt itself was an incredible experience. Anna and Mary took us on a journey through the truffle fields, sharing fascinating insights into truffle farming and her own family history with the truffle. It was an interactive and engaging experience that left us with a deep appreciation for these unique treasures.
And let’s not forget about the delicious pizza that followed the truffle hunt. The pizza was absolutely cheesy and loaded with fresh truffle, making it a true culinary delight.
Anna’s warm and friendly personality made the entire experience even more enjoyable. She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about truffle farming, and her enthusiasm was infectious.
Sherry who checked in us with when we arrived at the farm. She’s welcoming us with her smile and guided us what to do next.
I highly recommend spending time at Anna’s truffle hunt. It’s an unforgettable experience that you won’t regret. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

We had the absolute best time during our tour at The Truffle Farm. Anna, Mary and the rest of the team are offering a unique experience that really makes you appreciate all the hard work that goes into growing truffles. The hunt itself was incredibly fun and don't even get me started on the cutest truffle doggos EVER! Doug and his crew did a fantastic job sniffing out those truffles and deserve all the treats and belly rubs this world can offer them.🤩 Hanging out by the fire afterwards and enjoying the glorious view while roasting marshmallows was just the cherry on top of the cake. Or in this case: The truffle on top of the pizza.😍 Thanks so much for a fantastic afternoon. We will be back for sure! 💕

Had an absolutely fantastic time at the truffle hunt today! Anna and Mary were incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the entire experience. They explained everything in such detail—from how truffles are grown to the whole harvesting process. We learned so much! The dogs were adorable, super obedient, and so friendly, which made the day even more special.
Highly recommend this experience to everyone—such a unique and memorable adventure!

WORTH IT!
We could not fault our experience..
Mary, Kim, and truffle dog Marley were exceptional.
They were both knowledgeable, passionate, and willing to answer any questions we had.
Clear directions to get to the farm were given the day before and we were so grateful that when we originally emailed asking for a tour on the only day we had free in Launceston, they put on a tour for us. There ended up being 6 in our group, which meant everyone got to dig up a truffle - which was harder than it looked!
We got a talk, the experience, and a glass of wine with truffle pizza afterwards.
They cater for gluten-free if you give them advance warning.
We were there a couple of hours and even got to see Doug - the original truffle hunting dog!
The story of how the first ever truffle farm in Australia began was amazing, and Mary's love for the farm and family was beautiful to see.
Absolutely worth doing and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Loved our Tour & Lunch at The Truffle Farm, home of Australia’s first black truffles! Spectacular setting, story and experience with Anna and Mary. We would return again in a heartbeat and enthusiastically encourage friends and family to visit, too. Can’t decide what was my favourite bit - the adorable 4-legged truffle hunters (Douglas, Poppy and Peggy) or the truffle ice cream, which is delicious partnership with Van Diemens Land Creamery. Give it a drizzle of truffle balsamic - you can’t have too much truffle when it’s this fresh.

Came across The Truffle Farm via Tasting trails so dropped in for a visit.
Beautiful spot and great little shop. Mandy explained how why what when about truffles which was awesome! I’ve never had truffles before but got a tasting of Truffle oil, balsamic, honey, salt. All amazing!
I saw there was a tour where you could go looking for truffles and get lunch which needs to be pre booked.
Definitely worth a visit if you love truffles or even just want something different!
