Recommend any visitors go out of their way to visit Nancy and David at the newsagency. Their store has everything, including great food. Had a great chat with them and even had dinner with them at the RSL last night. Keep up your good work, Nancy and Dave.

Definitely worth a stop in for the morning paper, coffee and some breakfast, absolutely recommend the beacon and egg rolls, bloody delicious and hit the spot perfect to get the day going, staff are friendly, good parking and access, recommend stopping if your in the area.

This truly is a 'one-stop shop.' You can buy a coffee, hot food, basic groceries, magazines, art supplies, stationary, plus all sorts of bits and pieces you'd find in a $2 shop. Souvenirs, hunting clothing and supplies like bullets and knives AND you can also get your firearms license here - I've never seen anything like it! Worth a stop in if you're going past - the staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable on all the hunting and firearms supplies.

Passed through Walgett today around lunch time. Saw the sign hot and cold food on the Walgett Newsagency so mosied on inside. Newsagent...this place has everything! From stationery to magazines to knives and ammo. And there, nestled in a fridge opposite the pie warmer was the grand daddy of all salad rolls! No kidding, it was absolutely huge and chock full of ham, fresh salad and a layer of cream cheese. Without a doubt the best salad roll I have ever had in my 62 years on this planet. Service was fantastic as well. Do yourself a favour and grab a salad roll from here but make sure you bring your appetite! Thanks guys. 11 out of 10.

We've just enjoyed their fabulous Beef, barley and vegetable soup and their Pumpkin, parmesan and leek risotto picked up this morning from the fridge. Sensational!
