Highly recommend Zig Zags Whitehaven beach + snorkel day trip - we had such an amazing day.

From the first point of contact, they were incredible to deal with. I am almost 30 weeks pregnant and we had been struggling to find a tour that would take me on board. After enquiring (quite late too - well after usual business hours), Nathan emailed back within 10minutes to let us know that Zig Zag could make it happen. In addition to this I forgot to add a code to the booking when purchasing and he kindly still offered to honour this - even though they would’ve been totally in their rights not to. This type of service and experience continued through to the day of the tour itself and really emphasises what type of company Zig Zag is - a wonderful one that is all about customer experience!

The staff were so much fun, knowledgeable about the Whitsunday area/islands and the reef we snorkelled. The boat was super spacious and comfortable, and the food was plentiful and tasty.

The trip was also incredibly well organised - everything seemed so seamless with no issues or long wait times. We got dropped off at the beach by a smaller boat in the morning, went for a guided walk to the lookout, then still had plenty of time to swim and enjoy the beach. We then took the same smaller boat back to the main boat for lunch before it was time to snorkel in the afternoon.

We are so glad that we ended up doing the trip with you guys - can’t wait to return one day!

Had the best day out in the Whitsundays with ZigZag! The crew was lovely, and they truly do their best to give you an amazing and memorable experience. I love that you can choose whether to spend the whole day at the beach, or on the boat, or go snorkeling too! We chose the beach + snorkel bundle and as we had some spare time after snorkeling we were able to go down to the beach for some extra beach time! No time wasted at all!
They're also very knowledgeable, the captain will point out landmarks and teach you bout the reef itself too and how important it is for the environment. The way to and from the Islands are also different, so you'll see different things each way!
As a vegan, I also appreciated the availability of vegan options for lunch!

Bottom line, super friendly crew, great day out at the beach with guided walk to a lookout, beautiful snorkel spot with countless fish, coral, and whatever else lives in there😅, and memories for a lifetime! Will recommend ZigZag any day!

Just got back from a wonderful day trip to Whitehaven Beach with my partner. All of the crew were great and really enjoyed interacting with the passengers and were very professional in their duties. The trip was smooth and the captain gave a very informative commentary throughout the cruise. The guided tour to the lookout was a nice walk through the island vegetation. We were well catered for on the beach and the ship. Plentiful yummy food and well appointed amenities. The weather was perfect for our trip and the crew were there to help with transport and general information. Highly recommended if you want a top notch Whitehaven Beach experience.

Had an amazing trip! The crew were great, super friendly and helpful. Snacks on board were perfect. Went to Whitehaven Beach, where we walked to the lookout point. Also had a great snorkel on the reef with the water being quite warm! Honestly, couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

We had the most amazing day out on the water! From the moment we stepped aboard, Angus and his team made us feel welcome, safe, and excited for the adventure ahead. The boat was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable and fun day.

The snorkelling spots we visited were absolutely stunning—crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and an abundance of colorful marine life. It felt like swimming in a real-life aquarium!

What truly made the day special was the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the crew. They shared interesting facts about the area, kept us entertained between stops, and provided delicious lunch, snacks and refreshments on board.

This tour was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. A big thank you to the amazing Angus, Matt, Emily, Carla and others for giving us such a memorable experience—we’ll definitely be back!

The Staff were great, full of knowledge and very helpful! Jess has great people skills and Matt puts a smile on your face.
Gus went above and beyond even lending a guest (who left shoes on the main boat) his own crocs so the guest could participate in the look out walk tour! We had a great day exploring site seeing and snorkelling but the staff definitely make it. Certainly made you feel very welcome.
Absolutely great value, the food was also very good. Lots of variety.
Even lend you stinger suits, flippers and snorkel gear.
Would do it all again.

My sister and I absolutely loved our all day tour with Zigzag Whitsundays. Jess and her crew went above and beyond ensure our day went smoothly. The entire crew was super friendly and accommodating throughout. We did a small hike and got to spend time at whitehaven beach which was beautiful. The highlight for us was the snorkeling which was spectacular and one of the best experiences we’ve had. Highly recommended zigzag tours to anyone looking to spend the day and explore the Whitsundays!!

Awesome day with the day trip and snorkelling tour!

Good things:
-Friendly helpful staff
-Good fresh food buffe style
-Nice snorkelling gear
-Good music
-Good speakers that you can hear what the captain is saying
-Interesting information and history about the surrounding is provided from captain

Things that could improve:
-Our family was accidentally put in wrong group resulting in less time spent on beach
-Sundeck on boat was not open during transport
-The day felt quite rushed as the stop on Whitehaven Beach and the snorkelling was quite short but I guess that's what happens if you want to do both.
We loved the snorkelling beach and more time there would have been great. Maybe lunch there could be possible?
